Sometimes a tab you built in one plan belongs in another too: a dashboard layout two teams both use, or an intake form two plans share. Add to Plan adds the active tab to another plan you own, without leaving the editor.
Adding a tab to another plan
In the Add to Plan dialog, pick the destination. Each plan shows as a tile with a preview, and the filter box at the top narrows a long list. A message confirms when the tab has been added.
The option is greyed out on a Board or Sheet tab, which work with this plan's cards and stay in it. It is also greyed out when there is nowhere to add the tab to: if this is your only plan, until you create another, and in a plan in This Browser. It isn't offered to Viewers or Participants, or on a link shared for one tab.
One tab, shared between plans
Add to Plan doesn't make a copy: it is the same tab in both places. Change its layout, restyle it, or rename it from either plan and the change lands in the other as well, a few seconds after you stop editing. If the other plan is already open in another window, reload it to see the latest edits. If the tab is edited in both plans at once, the later edit is the one both keep. A tab can be in up to 20 plans at once.
A Dashboard slot that shows another of this plan's tabs reads as deleted in the other plan, since that tab isn't there; clear the slot or fill it again.
Two things stay per-plan, so each plan can organise the shared tab its own way: the tab's position in the tab bar, and which tab folder (if any) it sits in.
Removing the tab from one plan doesn't touch the others; the tab and its contents are only deleted for good when you remove it from the last plan containing it. Deleting a whole plan works the same way: while it waits in the Trash its shared tabs stay in step, and once it is deleted for good they stay, with their contents, in every other plan they are in. Taking a plan offline tells you first how many of its tabs are shared: they stay in the other plans, and the copies in this browser stop sharing edits with them.
Prefer an independent copy you can tailor per plan? Use Duplicate in the same menu first, then add the duplicate to the other plan.
